Moroccan Henna

Henna Lounge is one of very few artists in the USA who offer authentic Moroccan style henna designs. Drawing from an extensive collection of traditional Moroccan patterns, Darcy enjoys bringing these elemental motifs to brides and henna enthusiasts alike. Darcy learned the traditional methods of application from her very first henna teacher, Najat (from Tangiers, Morocco), and her mentor and inspiration, Lisa Butterworth (a NYC-based expert in Moroccan henna) of Kenzi.com, .  Moroccan henna tends to be more geometric than other styles, but can still include some floral or vine shapes. Moroccan designs contain symbols for good luck, fertility, water, the heavens, and love. It is not common to see direct representations animals or figures in the designs.
